About Daniella
Psychologist

Hello there,  I’m Dana! I’m Hungarian/Belgian, grew up in Hungary and move to the Netherlands 6 years ago to pursuit my passion, to become a psychologist. I’ve completed my  bachelor and both my master’s degrees here. To assist individuals, youth, or adult to overcome hardships, bring positive change into their lives including finding the best support available and therefore maximising their possibilities in life, is one of my biggest aspirations. I believe that there is no one size fits all when comes to therapy so I plan the sessions with a creative and multidisciplinary approach in mind so it is tailor to you and your needs.

I completed a master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. This fields of psychology focuses on understanding how the different areas and systems of the brain are working and how are these connected to behaviours and skills. Some of the conditions that I worked with include autism and learning and attention disorders such as ADHD. I have experience in neuropsychological assessments and treatment methods and I have received additional training in Applied behavior analysis (ABA), which is a  type of therapy that can improve social, communication, and learning skills through reinforcement strategies.  My other master’s degree, Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology aims to assist children and young people in a wide range of psychological, behavioural, or developmental difficulties in a variety of areas  including academic, family or peer-related. I have experience in CBT and other effective techniques that can be used to help young people face and overcome challenges.

I worked in several countries including the Netherlands, the UK and  Hungary with children and adults coming from all over the world. I think my multicultural experience coupled with my education helps me to have a different perspective when it comes to assisting others in moving forward and finding the steps that they need to the right direction. I really enjoy seeing and being part of people’s pursuit of their goals, may it be establishing themselves in a new environment, improving their self-esteem or tackle study/work related challenges.

I am passionate about mindfulness and I practice meditation and relaxation quite often in my free time. I believe they are great tools to enhanced physical and emotional well-being. I love travelling and learning languages, currently mastering the Dutch language.
