Hi, I am Naomi! I was born and raised in Leiden, The Netherlands. From a young age I have always been intrigued why people think, feel, and behave in their own unique way. I am moved by the power of resilience of people. Meaning the way people cope with uncertainty and difficult situations, to effectively adapt to change and thrive. As Darwin said ‘it is not the strongest one, or most intelligent one that survives, but the one that is most adaptable to change’. I offer guidance towards resilience and healthy ways of coping through what life brings us. Helping people towards a more satisfying life – in a better relationship with yourself and others – is rewarding to me. I find it gratifying to have a positive effect on someone’s life and find meaning in the process. In my free time I like to practice yoga, listen to music, I enjoy traveling, especially learning about different cultures.
I provide psychotherapy in English and Dutch to students and adults. For each problem there are various ways to heal. I try to see the person behind the complaints to find the best fitted approach to help you feel and cope better in your life. I expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, for anxiety and trauma related problems as well as therapy for depression, ADHD and self-esteem improvement. I find importance in that you feel safe and heard. Comfortable to express your thoughts and feelings in a warm, nonjudgmental environment while working on your personal goals. To ask for help when needed is a good act of self-care. I believe in your own resilience, at times we need help along the way. I am honored to guide you on your path.
